Red Shoes Do’s and Don’ts

I kind of love that one of the things my WordPress Dashboard shows when I log on is a list of search terms that have led people here the last couple of days. It can be downright inspiring!

Some poor soul out there was searching for a list of do’s and don’ts regarding red shoes and I thought they should find some help, dammit! So, Dear Confused Soul Looking for Answers to the Important Questions, if you continue your search, here are some tips just for you.

Red Shoes Do’s and Don’ts

DO…

…buy red shoes. If we buy lots, the shoe-makers will need to make more!

…wear red shoes when you travel, as well as packing more in your bags. Not only will you look stylish, but in an emergency you can use them to create a nice, bright “help” sign.

…wear red shoes to a gala event. This is especially true if you weren’t actually, well…invited. The red shoes will blend with the traditional red carpet and they’ll be like formalwear camouflage. Stealthy!

…wear red shoes to go walking in the countryside. If you run into an angry bull, you can pull off your shoes and throw them as hard as you can. Then, when the bull chases your shoes you can make a run for it in the opposite direction.

…wear red shoes to go walking in the city. Even though I’ve never tried it, I have a theory that the advice in the previous tip might work with particularly style-conscious muggers too.

…wear red shoes to church. It’ll make everyone wonder what you’re up to.

…wear red shoes when you’re feeling blue. They’ll make your day brighter! (In the interest of balance, you might also want to wear blue shoes when you’re seeing red. They’re very calming.)

…wear red shoes to work. Because - thanks to generations of women who came before you and fought for rights for us all - you can.

Don’t…

…settle for boring shoes when there are red shoes in the world!

Do you know I bought the most AWESOME red silk St. John acrylic kitten heels and a red satin trench to match.. they’ve never made it out of my closet. Just like my black satin boots with the matching black satin trench. I’ve gone NOWHERE this year for whatever reason. How sad.. how boring!!

    HELP!!

It just occurred to me that I have all sorts of red clothes but no red shoes. Well - one pair, but they are a sort of cherry red, and I don’t think red is red unless it is flaming scarlet :)
I don’t seem to make my way here often enough lately, hope you have a great year
