The beautiful and talented Natalya has made my day by giving me a “You Make My Day” award. ::::beam::::
Here’s what the guidelines for this award say:
Give the award to up to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel so happy about Blogland! Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so that they can pass it on. Beware! You may get the award several times!
Thank you, Natalya! It makes me happy that you enjoy your visits here.
So now it’s my turn to pass it on to 10 other bloggers. I must admit I’m cringing just a little at this part, because choosing 10 bloggers from the extensive list of blogs I love means that there are a couple-hundred more that I read (either regularly or at least occasionally) and truly enjoy that I’m not awarding, and it makes my heart hurt a little to not give them a pat on the back too. So please know that if I ever visit your blog - ever! - that I do enjoy it and I think every last one of you deserves all sorts of awards. And chocolate. And gold stars. And a pony! (Well, ok, maybe not a pony. Ponies can be sort of mean.)
I narrowed it down by choosing bloggers that have been particularly making my day lately by posting beautiful photos, drawings, quilts, or poems; stories about their lives and travels; photos of their kids, grandkids, kitties, or puppies; videos; recipes; book lists or reviews; funny meme-y things - all the things that make me smile the most. On that basis, I’m giving the “You Make My Day” award to Amber, Daisies, Gerrie, Holli, Janet B, Janet S, JC, Laume, Sognatrice, and Vedrana. Thanks for making my day, y’all!

Cruise Countdown: Two weeks from today, barring complications (”Good Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise!”), I’ll be on the island of Puerto Rico, about to board the Adventure of the Sea. I. Am. Psyched!! Yeah, baby! My current prayer to the Universe: “Please-oh-please do not send any truly horrid storms or let me or those I love get seriously injured or ill any time in the next three weeks or so. Actually, I’d rather those things not happen ever. Ever. Seriously. But especially not in the next three weeks or so. Thank you and Amen.”
