Some Yes, Some No

It’s been a while since we did a quiz here on RSR, so let’s do one shall, we? Maybe even two! It feels like a fun Sunday Thang to me.

gem quiz

Hhhmmm…well, that’s very nice and maybe somewhat true, albeit pretty idealized. Sometimes I’m pretty bossy. :-) Let’s try another one.

ice cream quiz

First paragraph, well, I don’t know that I think of myself as unusually modest, but I am pretty happy with who I am.

Second, no way! I do think I’m a responsible person (mostly…heh), but I don’t agree with the incredibly cautious part. You’ll find me somewhere in that middle ground between “incredibly cautious” and “has a death wish.” :-)

Third paragraph, exactly right.

Fourth, also right! I love a wide range of things, but I very much prefer to concentrate on them one at a time. Not a fan of the multi-tasking thing here.

Serious and contemplative? Mmmm….Yes, sometimes. I’d agree that’s part of who I am, but not the whole by any means. I’d agree much more with the contemplative part than with the serious part, although I think I’m more serious inside than people think I am from what I show to the world, if that makes sense. But I also have a very healthy appreciation for the absurdities of life. Do my own thing? Yep, that I’ll go along with.

If you want to take either of these, just click on the graphics for the quiz and it should take you there if I haven’t messed up the linkage. :-) And if you do, I hope you’ll tell me what you got, or post it on your blog and let me know so I can come visit!!

Here’s today’s Daily Art Thang, a rose from a bush blooming by our front porch. The rose bush was a birthday gift from my friend Morven a few years ago and I can never remember the real name of it. J and I always just call it The Morven Rose. (I think, BTW, that was one of the coolest birthday gifts ever!)

I took the ice cream quiz so I’ll post it on my blog tomorrow, and maybe I’ll do the gemstone one as well.

That rose is so pretty. I love how it goes from yellow to very soft cream and the touches of pinky color on the tips. We have one similar but it isn’t doing much right now. It bloomed earlier.

Very pretty rose - I love the multi-colored ones. Did I mention that Deirdre turned me on to the 2008 Rose - we had to buy one, it’s called “April in Paris” - too perfect. And it’s supposed to have a strong scent. Which, in my mind, is a must. Rarely can I find a use for a rose, or any flower, that doesn’t have a scent. Okay, that might be too much of a generalization - let’s go with - I PREFER scented flowers.

    That rose is beyootiful!!

Here’s what I got on the gemstone quiz:

You are an excellent communicator. You express yourself clearly.
You relate easily to other people, and you’re a great listener.
Friends turn to you to help stay grounded and sane.
You realize that everything is interconnected in life, and you aim to help as many people as possible.

    (Hmm, seems about half right.)

    And the ice cream:
You like to think of yourself as a fairly modest person. And it’s true that you don’t talk yourself up… but you’re also pretty happy with who you are.

You are incredibly cautious. You rather miss out on something than make a mistake. No one would ever call you wild… but they would call you responsible.

You are a very open minded, liberal, and flexible person. You love many things. You tend to have tastes that range from down home to cosmopolitan.

You are a natural multitasker. You feel alive when you’re doing more than one thing at a time.

You can be a big dramatic and over the top sometimes. You are bold in every way.

(The first 3 paragraphs are about right, the last two are not!)

I had a long, hopefully thoughtful reply typed out when I bumped the touchpad and lost it. Let’s just say my answers came out nearly like yours with similar accuracy. Good night!
