| Queen of Cups 24" x 36" |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One of the most often-seen images of the Queen of Cups is of a woman seated at the edge of the ocean, with her feet or the hem of her gown touching the water, which represents spirituality and the emotions. My vision of the Queen is nearly the opposite. I picture her as a woman immersed in spirituality and the emotions, rich in psychic energy, a true water queen. However, she also recognizes the importance of staying in touch with the physical world. In my version, the Queen of Cups appears as a mermaid who takes time every day to leave the water and ground herself, and experience the world outside the ocean she calls home.
